The manual list several types of Plows most had some type of
trip mechanism in case you hit a rock or a root. But they also made some for
sandy ground with no trip. You can change the plow points on the above ones
and several types were made.
Plows and disk are attached to the cross bar using a special mounting
bracket. Yours may or may not look like the one in Ill 5. The originals are
very expensive now and many people have home made brackets. If you have
build one that works I would like to have a photo of it.
Plows are very hard to use if you do not have sandy soil because they
will
trip on almost anything requiring you to back up the tractor to reset them.
In some cases they are unusable because they trip so often. This
has caused may farmers to disable the trip mechanism altogether. I spot
welded mine so I could re-enable the trip if I wanted to. They work
much better. |
